The term "personal data" refers to any information that can be used to identify an individual by combining several pieces of information. This includes your name(s), surname(s), email address, telephone number(s), order details, and any other information we may request and that you choose to provide.

Information We Collect

We are committed to being completely transparent about how we collect, use, share, and store your personal information.

It is important that you read the Privacy Policy carefully because it contains information about how your personal data is processed. If we update the Privacy Policy, we will notify you of the changes in advance by email.

According to the GDPR: “The data subject must receive information that is:

concise, transparent, intelligible and easily accessible, using clear and plain language.”

Information we collect.

We collect various types of information in connection with the Services, including:

  • information you provide directly to us;
  • information we collect about your use of our Services;
  • information we obtain from third-party sources (social media).

We may also ask for your consent to collect information or notify you separately about how we collect your personal information.

Some Services allow you to provide information directly to us. For example:

If you order a paid product or service from us, we will ask you to provide your first and last name, contact information, and/or shipping and billing addresses in order to process your order.

If you contact us to discuss a product or service, ask a question, or make a complaint, we will collect information about you and the service you are requesting.

We may also receive information about you from third-party social networks when you choose to connect to those services.

Comments

When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent, are collected to help us detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

Contact Forms

Information you provide when creating an account or making a purchase:

  • Your name
  • Your contact information (such as your email address, postal address, and phone numbers)
  • Your password
  • Your payment information is not transmitted to us but is managed by the payment platforms.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files in alphanumeric format placed on the user's hard drive by the server of the website visited or by a third-party server. A cookie is generally considered to allow a website to recognize a visitor when they return. When you use a web browser to access the Services, you can configure it to accept or reject all cookies, or to notify you when a cookie is being sent. Our site informs you, and you can accept or reject them.

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is solely for your convenience so you don't have to re-enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. If you select "Remember Me," your login cookie will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

When you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to their website.

Statistics and audience measurement

Information collected automatically:

  • Your IP address
  • The device and web browser you are using
    Data transmitted by applications you may download through our website
  • The date and time of your visit to our website, as well as how you use it and access its content
  • Your purchase and payment history (if applicable)

If you are a registered customer, we associate this automatically collected data with other data.

Social media plugins

Our Services use social media plugins. When you use a Service that includes Plugins, information from your device may be directly transferred to the operator of the relevant social network. We have no control over the data collected by the Plugin. If you are logged into a social network, your use of our Service may be mentioned on your network account. If you interact with the Plugins, for example by clicking “Like,” “Follow,” or “Share,” or by posting a comment, this information may automatically appear on your social network profile.

Use of your personal data

We use the information we collect about you for the following purposes:

  • To fulfill your order and provide related customer service;
  • To maintain, improve, and administer our website;
  • To inform you about products and services that may be of interest to you;
  • To offer co-branded products and services with our partners;
  • To improve or personalize your online experience, our services, and how we communicate with you;
  • To identify and prevent fraudulent use;
  • To improve the security of our network and information systems;
  • To better understand how our visitors use our website, and to determine the effectiveness of our advertisements and advertising campaigns.

Data Retention Periods

We only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was provided or as required by law.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if this option is available), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

Regarding potential marketing activities, and in accordance with applicable law, your data may be retained for a period of three (3) years from the end of the business relationship.

At the end of this three (3) year period, we may contact you again only to ask if you wish to continue receiving marketing communications.

Personal data relating to a prospect who is not yet a customer may be kept for a period of three (3) years from the date of collection or the last contact initiated by the prospect.

Regarding the management of marketing opt-out lists, the information necessary to respect your right to object is kept for a minimum of three (3) years from the date you exercised that right.

Regarding audience measurement statistics, information stored on users' devices or any other element used to identify users and track their activity or visits will not be kept for more than thirteen (13) months.

Banking Information

Financial transactions related to the payment of purchases and fees are handled by a payment service provider, PayPal (the "Payment Provider"), which ensures their proper execution and security. The Payment Provider collects and stores your personal data relating to your bank card numbers on our behalf and for our account, for the duration of your registration on the platform and at least until you complete your last transaction. We do not have access to this data. By checking the box specifically provided for this purpose on the platform, you give us your explicit consent for this data storage.

The data relating to the visual cryptogram or CVV2, printed on your bank card, is not stored.

Upon proof of your identity and provided the conditions for exercising these rights are met, you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority). You may also exercise your right to determine the fate of your data after your death by contacting the service provider or us directly (see Article 13 below).

In any event, your data may be retained for thirteen (13) months following the debit date for evidentiary purposes in the event of a dispute concerning the transaction, in accordance with Article L.133-24 of the French Monetary and Financial Code. This period may be extended to fifteen (15) months to account for the possibility of using deferred debit payment cards.

Regarding other financial data (e.g., payments, refunds, etc.), it is retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws.

If your account has been suspended or blocked, we retain your data for up to ten (10) years from the date of suspension to prevent you from circumventing the rules set out in our Terms of Service.

Please read PayPal's Privacy Policy for more details.

Your rights regarding your data

If you have an account or have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Transmission of your personal data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

To exercise any of the rights listed above, you can contact our customer service. You can do so by visiting the "Contact Us" page of this website, sending us an email, or calling us.
